IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the detailed notification for the Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates, identified as CRP CSA-XVI. The post was traditionally known as IBPS Clerk and continues to represent clerical-cadre recruitment in participating public-sector banks.
The recruitment process is being conducted for indicative vacancies of the 2027–28 financial-year cycle. Based on the state and category-wise vacancy tables, a total of 11,403 Customer Service Associate vacancies are available across participating banks. Candidates must apply for vacancies in only one State or Union Territory and should possess proficiency in the prescribed local language.
Online registration, fee payment and submission of the application form started on 1 August 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the process by 21 August 2026. IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality
The applicant must satisfy the citizenship or nationality conditions prescribed in the detailed IBPS notification.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government is required.
Result Declaration

IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2026
Preliminary Examination
Eligible applicants will first appear in an online objective Preliminary Examination covering English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.
Main Examination
Candidates shortlisted from the Preliminary Examination will appear in the online Main Examination. Main-examination marks are used for final merit and provisional allotment.
Local Language Proficiency
The allotted bank may verify the candidate’s proficiency in the prescribed local language. Failure to demonstrate the required language ability can affect appointment.
Provisional Allotment
