Indian Space Research Organisation has invited online applications for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts in seven engineering and architecture disciplines. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted through valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 scores.
ISRO Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2026: The Indian Space Research Organisation Centralised Recruitment Board has released Advertisement Number ISRO:ICRB:02(EMC-CEPO):2026 for the recruitment of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts. A total of 92 tentative vacancies have been announced in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Civil, Electrical, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, and Architecture disciplines.
This recruitment is suitable for engineering and architecture graduates who have secured the required academic marks and possess a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the prescribed paper. ISRO will not conduct a separate written examination for these posts. Candidates will initially be screened using their GATE score and shortlisted for interview in a ratio of approximately 1:7.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the prescribed BE, B.Tech or equivalent qualification with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks, calculated as the average of all semesters, or CGPA 6.84 on a 10-point scale. Graduation must have been completed within the stipulated duration prescribed by the university.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Central Government Pay Matrix. The minimum basic pay is ₹56,100 per month.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer Selection Process 2026
The recruitment does not include a separate ISRO written examination. Selection consists of GATE-score screening followed by an interview and preparation of the final panel.
