E AIIMS NORCET 11 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can qualify through the B.Sc. Nursing route or the General Nursing and Midwifery diploma route. Nursing registration is compulsory under both qualification routes.

B.Sc. Nursing Route

B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing Honours or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institute or university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the concerned State Nursing Council.

Nursing Registration

The candidate must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council.

GNM Diploma Route

Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council recognised institute or board.

Experience for GNM Candidates

GNM diploma candidates must generally possess two years of relevant experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

NORCET Stage I Preliminary Examination

Candidates first appear in the qualifying computer-based preliminary examination. Stage I marks are used for shortlisting and are not normally included in the final NORCET merit rank.

Candidates shortlisted from Stage I appear in the Nursing Officer main examination. The final NORCET rank is determined through Stage II performance, subject to the notified qualifying conditions.
