AIIMS NORCET 11 Recruitment 2026: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has released Notice No. 103/2026 for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test, commonly known as NORCET-11. The recruitment process is being conducted for appointment to Nursing Officer Group B posts in AIIMS New Delhi and other participating institutes and hospitals.
A total of 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer vacancies have been reported for the recruitment cycle. The vacancy position is provisional and may increase, decrease or change according to the requirements communicated by participating organisations.
Online registration started on 24 July 2026. AIIMS has reported 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer vacancies across participating AIIMS institutes and other notified central healthcare organisations. The final number of vacancies will depend on updated requirements submitted by the participating institutions.
AIIMS NORCET 11 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can qualify through the B.Sc. Nursing route or the General Nursing and Midwifery diploma route. Nursing registration is compulsory under both qualification routes.
B.Sc. Nursing Route
B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing Honours or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institute or university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the concerned State Nursing Council.
Nursing Registration
The candidate must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council.
GNM Diploma Route
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council recognised institute or board.
Experience for GNM Candidates
GNM diploma candidates must generally possess two years of relevant experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

AIIMS Nursing Officer Salary
Nursing Officers selected through NORCET-11 will be appointed under Pay Level 7 of the Central Government Pay Matrix. The post corresponds to the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of ₹9,300–₹34,800 with Grade Pay of ₹4,600.

AIIMS NORCET 11 Selection Process
NORCET Stage I Preliminary Examination
Candidates first appear in the qualifying computer-based preliminary examination. Stage I marks are used for shortlisting and are not normally included in the final NORCET merit rank.
NORCET Stage II Main Examination
Candidates shortlisted from Stage I appear in the Nursing Officer main examination. The final NORCET rank is determined through Stage II performance, subject to the notified qualifying conditions.
Institute Preference and Allocation
Qualified candidates may be required to submit or confirm institute preferences. Allocation depends on rank, category, preferences and available vacancies.
Document Verification
The allotted institution verifies educational qualification, nursing registration, experience, age and reservation documents.
Medical Examination and Appointment
Final appointment is subject to medical fitness, character verification and fulfilment of the service conditions of the allotted institution.
NORCET 11 Stage I Exam Pattern
Stage I is a qualifying computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. The paper includes nursing and non-nursing questions and must be completed within 90 minutes.
